This year the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is celebrating 70 years of our Idaho affiliate. In leading up to our BIG celebration at our Annual Meeting in April, we will be highlighting our members and what they do as the ‘Nutrition Experts’ for our great state of Idaho. Today we are recognizing:

Albertsons Wellness Services Corporate Dietitian
As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, what do you do?
I am a Wellness Services Corporate Dietitian for Albertsons Companies. I came here two years ago after being the Wellness and Performance Nutritionist for Stanford University for 5 years. Before that I was a nutrition expert/writer for WebMD.com for 10 years, wrote 25 books and contributed content to magazines, newspapers and websites.
I develop and manage multiple programs that our in-store dietitians and the dietitians in our RD Network bring to communities in their areas. These programs range from diabetes and prediabetes store tours and healthy aging cooking & tasting classes to educational food experiences demonstrated by our in-store and division dietitians. I also develop a handful of recipes each month and write a corresponding blog that is shared throughout the company on websites, social media and our ecommerce platform.
