Email Draft:

Dear Senator (Representative) [name],

During this year’s Legislative session the Idaho Board of Medicine has presented a bill (#H0045) that updates the Dietetic Practice Act.

I am writing to ask for your support. This bill makes necessary changes to strengthen state licensure law, updates it to current practice, and better aligns it with the Idaho Medical Practice Act. It is cost neutral and will not increase licensing fees for RDs across the state.

The Board of Medicine and Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics have reached out to groups across the state including the Idaho Medical Association, Idaho Hospital Association, Idaho Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Idaho State Pharmacists Association, Idaho Board of Nursing, Genetic Counselors Licensing Board of Medicine, Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians, and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants and received no negative feedback.

If you have questions or would like additional information, please contact me. The url for the proposed bill is:

[add any personal information – where they work – what they do to etc.]

Signed your name
Add you RDN, LD, and any of specialties CSP, CDE

Now Time to Act!
