During 2017, the Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics will be highlighting our members and what they do as the ‘Nutrition Experts’ for our great state of Idaho. Today we are recognizing the Registered Dietitian Nutritionists of the Idaho Dairy Council:
As Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, what do you do?
We are passionate in the work we do for Idaho’s dairy farm families because they care about feeding the World with safe and nutritious food. Idaho Dairy Council has five full-time RDNs on staff. We work to inspire trust in the dairy industry and educate thought leaders on the importance of dairy’s role in the diet. We lead and influence within our communities and expand Youth Wellness efforts. We take the science and translate to consumer-friendly messaging. We connect people and convene organizations to amplify opportunities.
What are the benefits you have seen from your services in the Idaho community?
Idaho Dairy Council provides science-based nutrition education curriculum and materials at no cost to Idaho’s educators. Idaho’s dairy farm families are committed to Youth Wellness and offer funding opportunities throughout the year to support school nutrition and health and wellness initiatives. Our communication efforts educate consumers on where their food comes from and provides transparency about the dairy industry.
How can someone reach you to access your services?
Thank you Idaho Dairy Council RDNs for all that you do for our great state of Idaho!
